Casa del Chocolate
Baracoa Opened Opening date unknown
Hot chocolate in the town growing most of Cuba's cacao.
Around 85 percent of the cacao grown in Cuba comes out of the hills around Baracoa, and Casa del Chocolate on Maceo is where that fact turns into something you can drink. It serves hot chocolate and chocolate ice cream at ten tables, nothing fancier than that.
It sits on the pedestrian boulevard through the center, an easy stop between the plaza and the Malecón for anyone curious what the local cacao actually tastes like once it's off the tree.
