El Cocal is a small, unglamorous ice-cream parlor on José Martí, the kind of place that runs on repeat customers rather than tourist traffic. Chocolate is the flavor people mention most, made simple and cold. That's really all it needs to be after a hot walk through the historic center.

There's no seating to speak of, so it works better as a stop than a sit-down break.
