Mi Bodegón

A Buenos Aires bodegón parked in Ocean Dream Plaza

Mi Bodegón is an Argentine bodegón in the true sense: steaks, milanesas, empanadas and a wine list built around Malbec, with walls decorated in Buenos Aires-style art.

There's an outdoor terrace and a more formal indoor room, open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday. Local press covered the opening as an actual event, one of the few places here not built around a beach view.

It just quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Cabarete. The Diego salad is insane. The one with the grilled cabbage is awesome as well. The mail servers are top-notch. If you want great beef in Cabarete, this is your place. I used to go all the way to Playa Dorado 40 minutes away for steak. This restaurant is definitely a much better option.

First Review 5*: Anselma was such a nice host! This place is amazing, Decoration is truly stunning! i love it. Food was good we had Ossobuco croquetas and Canelones de ricotta and spinach. Bartenders were nice. They do have outdoor and indoor. But the indoor tables are great!!! They take card which is a plus in Cabarete! I will be back!! Margaritas were really good!!! 2nd Review 13 jun 2026: Seems like the World Cup messed someones common sense, they have only 5 tables inside, two of which face the door, the bathroom and the bar therefore useless. All Others in the blazing sun/hot of cabarete; the other 3 tables inside were packed (stick together) and reserved for 7:30. We know argentinians like futbol, but this is a small place if ur intention is to do business for long have some common sense, stick to one table at most. Lost two stars in service and atmosphere. And i just missed my dinner cuz of some futbol fans. btw even tho i had to leave all the staff was wearing Argentinian futbol shirts which was nice.

A really great surprise right in Cabarete near Ocean House. We stopped in on a whim and were blown away immediately. Cool vibe and food was amazing. We shared a NY Strip steak that was as good as any I have ever had, including in some of the legendary New York City. The crispy bread starter is delicious, especially with the chimichurri sauce. Food was served hot. Mashed potatoes were spot on as was the corn soufflé. Nice varied wine selection and attentive staff made for a great night. The chef even came out to greet us. We were so impressed that we went back again 5 days later! This may be one of the best restaurants in all of Cabarete.

This Argentinian restaurant is an unexpected and fantastic gem in Cabarete DR. The moment we walked in it felt like we were in Argentina - great aesthetic with exposed brick walls , classic tiles , windowed kitchen. We were welcomed and the service for the entire evening was top notch. The pièce de résistance is the food - authentic recipes delivered with exceptional quality ingredients. We all agreed that the beef was prepared perfectly (as was the salmon) and was the best quality/tasting steak anyone has eaten in recent travels (there were 6 of us). Their menu also has offerings for Pescatarian and Vegan guests. Tables are set with white cotton and lovely stemware and seating is available inside or outside. There also is parking. I highly recommend this excellent restaurant.

Firstly let me say the service is the highlight of this establishment. My ribeye came to me cold and wasn't medium...my wife's churrasco wasn't medium as well but maintained a good flavor. Both were overpriced especially the churrasco, Sbg prices but clearly not Sbg...the salad was good along with the presentation and the puré...the plates could be way more appealing, it's giving campo not classy... All together way overpriced...
