A painter's gallery lands inside a shopping mall

Oscar Abreu already runs Museo Abreu down the road in Bávaro. Now he's opened a second space right inside Blue Mall Punta Cana, launching with a solo show that runs through October 28.

It's a strange mash-up: original paintings a few doors down from clothing racks and jewelry counters. Nobody's confirmed if this becomes permanent or if the mall goes back to retail after October.
