Fog & Vine bills itself as the Caribbean's first natural wine tasting room. The list runs almost entirely Californian natural wines, walk-ins welcome Thursday through Sunday.
Early visitors say the room feels more like a stop in Europe than a typical Zona Colonial bar. It's already hosted a collaboration event with local spirits brand The Tipsy Black Sheep.

A very pleasant place for an aperitif! The dates with cheese are exceptional. The service is attentive... although a bit pricey for the Dominican Republic.

You know. After a night of binging around the colonial zone. All I wanted was a quiet place and a nice glass of wine. And here we are. After doing a Google search, I came to Fog and Vine last night. And it was exactly what the doctor ordered. For starters, this place is elegantly designed and decorated. It has a very welcoming feel. Yohansi, my sommelier was very knowledgeable and professional. He was a wealth of information and patiently described to me what natural wine was. I started things off with a nice glass of Wild Child. It was very smooth for a natural wine. Full flavor, great scent and a delicious After taste. What a great way to start. They have a great flight tasting option. And they sell wines by the glass and bottle. They also have a great food menu if you get peckish. I got free edamame which was glazed with an amazing balsamic glaze. Then I had 2 glasses of Sleepless Nights. Yes 2. Who knew that a blend of 10 grapes would produce such a mesmerizing flavor. I am still awed by the aroma and taste that was dancing on my palette. Coupled with amazing service and quiet relaxing ambiance, this place gets three thumbs up. I also had the pleasure of meeting Cindy who was a joy to talk to. She manages the establishment and clearly she's doing something right. On top of having designed it, she deserves all my kudos. I'll definitely be stopping in again!

One of my best finds in Santo Domingo. Beautiful house tastefully restored. The service and the ambiance were on point. I strongly recommend carpaccio de hongos 🍄

A little heaven hidden in a calm street of the old city, a beautiful space with interesting wines and a welcoming team. Perfect for a date, a catch up with friends, or to taste a new wine at the bar. Highly recommended!
