The Coffee Theory & Co

A coffee boutique inside a residential tower
The Coffee Theory calls itself a coffee boutique rather than a straightforward café. It's become a favorite for people who want a proper espresso and an artisanal sandwich without leaving the neighborhood.
It draws a residential crowd more than a passing-through one, tucked inside Torre Serralles Residences. The pastry case rotates often enough that regulars check before assuming their usual is available.

Cozy little cafe tucked away on a residential/AirBnB street. Delicious focaccia sandwiches, and amazing dessert-themed coffees. I only wish they had more breakfast food options, like eggs, etc. The friendly service and good music always creates a nice atmosphere to relax or socialize.

This place is petit definitely a cute little gem! Service is great ,my dog was allowed. Coffee is delicious and the croissant was high-quality a bit crispy for my preference, but the quality was there. I would recommend this place. Wear mosquito repellent

A cup of Dominican coffee with one of their cookies for less than 800 pesos. My favorite place 🫶🏾

Amazing coffee, lots of options (cold/hot/seasonal), great food, short and solid menu. Owner is there 90% of the time, attention to detail, i would just love for it to be bigger. Such a nice little gem.

I loved the place, the attentiveness, and the service. The food is delicious; the goat cheese pastries, though small, were delicious and fresh. The guava and brie focaccia was delicious and an option I haven't seen elsewhere in Santo Domingo. I loved the pistachio matcha, and for coffee lovers, the banana caramel was decent. The place is small, perfect for a quick bite, and not recommended for groups larger than 3-4 people as seating is limited.
