Takeaway-only pastries from a 28-year-old Ferrandi grad in Saint-Michel
Gatoune opened in Saint-Michel in October 2025, the first shop from pastry chef Agathe Brunelle, who trained at the Ferrandi school in Paris and holds two CAP diplomas, in pastry and chocolate making. At 28, she runs it takeaway only, no seating, with six fresh pastries and five dry ones, all seasonal.
Keeping the menu small and focused, rather than stretching it into a full cafe menu, lets Brunelle put her technical training on display through a short, changing selection instead of a broad one. Saint-Michel, better known for its flea market and Sunday crowds than fine pastry, now has a genuinely craft-driven address of its own.

The store feels like a hidden gem! I tried the banana pecan tart, it was super tasty!! The flavours really came through - a very well made pastry! I’d love to try their other items in future

Excellent strawberry tart, not too sweet and very flavorful. The pastry is perfectly toasted with a light, sugar-free almond dacquoise. A complete success. The flan with pecan praline is superb.

A welcoming spot where the pastries are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat. A carefully curated selection of recipes, all of which are irresistible, shows Agathe is a fantastic pastry chef who creates with great passion, and it really shines through. We especially loved her custard tart and her brookies! We want to go there every day 😇

I'd been wanting to try their cookies for quite some time, and since I was passing through Saint Michel, I decided to stop by. It's a small pastry shop with a limited selection, but the quality must be there! In any case, the hazelnut caramel cookie is delicious; I wasn't disappointed! Perhaps a little pricey compared to others for the quantity.
