Coffee by day, board games and art workshops by night
Cool Beans opened on rue Philippe de Dangeau on February 28, 2024. It skips the standard espresso and pastry format for board games, role-playing sessions, creative workshops and art exhibitions.
Thursday through Saturday it stays open until 11pm, well past typical café hours. That's given the Notre-Dame district a spot built around participation, apart from Versailles' usual cafés and salons de thé.

Versailles has great coffee spots and places to chat, but without a doubt, it’s a wonderful place to gather with friends and family, You feel at home without mentioning the cinnamon cake and golden latte. Gracias a la team!

Cool Beans is easily my go-to coffee shop, it has a really warm, cozy atmosphere that feels like a US-style coffee shop, with a nice French twist. The coffee and cakes are always on point, the music is great, and it’s the kind of place where you can relax for hours, play board games, or join in on events. The best part is the owners - they’re incredibly friendly and really make it feel like home 🇺🇸 Thank you Manon & Patrick for creating such a needed place in Versailles 🙏🏻

Such a cool and cozy café in Versailles! The hot chocolate with marshmallows is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming — definitely a great student spot. I love that you can even borrow board games and play while enjoying your drink. Highly recommended!

Awesome café with super nice atmosphere and friendly staff! We came here after a visit of the castle and were positively surprised to find a big selection of boardgames there to play and very tasty coffee! 100% would recommend 🌟

The coffee and the brownie I had is so so delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and chill. Also I'm new to this city, trying to learn French and adapting the French culture. Still when I visited this café the owner talked to me in English when I was struggling to speak French and this means a lot. She is so kind. Had some good times.
