Nuremberg's Orca Brau finally gets its own taproom
For years Orca Brau's beer only showed up in other bars and shops around town. That changed in November 2025, when the brewery opened its own place on Engelhardsgasse near Jakobsplatz.
About eight of its own beers pour on tap, alongside bottles from breweries around the world, and the menu runs to flammkuchen, including a Nuremberg version topped with grilled bratwurst, sauerkraut and horseradish.

Perfect place for a nice glass of craft beer in Nürnberg. The staff is nice and friendly, willing to spend time to introduce and recommend the beers. Interesting to have such a nice place in downtown Nürnberg. Will come back again!

Excellent taproom, nice inside and outdoor area. Best craft beer in the area. Love their IPAs. And they always have lots of creative and experimental stuff. Always a pleasue to chat with them.

Very nice place. Perhaps the best place in Nuremberg to go for craft beer.

Orca brau is a highly experimental brewery that brings out some whacky flavors that I've tried only by the bottle, but their bar setup has their beer offerings on tap, and one can buy some of the bottled beers not on the menu and drink it there or take away. The food menu is essentially various flammkuchen, and they serve some hard liquor cocktails too. The beer is excellent (much better when tried on tap, trust me), and the staff is very kind and friendly. Their rotbier is not my favorite, but their IPAs, helles, hoppy lagers, and fruit flavored beer really take the cake!

Great craft beer venue; it’s always good when you see the Untapped logo on a bars screens and that’s the case here. 10 (I think) beers on tap plus fridges of bottles and cans. Their own beers plus other breweries in Germany and even some a bit further away.
