Poupette opened on Johannesgasse on December 6, 2025, run by the same team behind the nearby restaurant Mesa and pouring from the same natural-wine growers.

The menu stays simple: organic and natural wines by the glass, small plates built for sharing, in a room that sits between the Hauptbahnhof and the Lorenzkirche.

Very nice to sit curbside for a social dinner. Food was delicious, the wine selection unpretentious and fitting for the menu. We went as a big group, ordering all of the dishes - were served promptly with a smile, several tasty and wholesome platters. Especially good: mussels, anchovies and the cheese. Would visit again for an easygoing evening. Location is very central without being in a busy street.

Nice place and good drinks. However, we asked for truffle chips but we got a very small plate with just a few chips straight from the bag for 5 €. I think it is totally ovepriced.

We had a truly wonderful evening at the bar! We felt right at home from the moment we arrived – the atmosphere is really lovely and special. The food was absolutely fantastic and we were completely blown away. The wines were also superbly selected and of a very high quality – you can tell that great care is taken here. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We highly recommend the bar and will definitely be back!
