Stumbled across this chic brunch spot m a busy Saturday morning. They sat us right away despite being nearly full and the service was so friendly and quick. We had everything from egg dishes to French toast and pancakes and was honestly one of the best brunches we’ve ever had anywhere.

We went to Ginger Concept for an evening dinner after a day on the water, and I want to start by saying the food was incredible. Easily tied with our other favorite restaurant which was on the harbor. We had the chicken with graviera cheese, the charcuterie board, and the dragon roll. The food presentation was beautiful and elegant, and the taste was absolutely top notch. I truly have only great things to say about the food, however, the service left *a lot* to be desired. I have traveled to many parts of Europe for the past decade, and I am very used to the hands-off, relaxed methods of service throughout my travels and that is not an issue for me. I enjoy being able to spend time with friends and family, chatting and eating slowly. But this dining experience was incredibly sub-par. I'm not sure if the staff were upset with us because we were slightly dressed down (again, we were on the water all day and needed a bite to eat ASAP), or if the staff were annoyed with one another, but they seemed very annoyed and frustrated that we didn't know what we wanted immediately after we sat down. As soon as we walked in, we could all tell that the overall energy was very off. We felt rushed to order, and the staff was not warm nor friendly towards us. Maybe it's because we're American (I get it, trust me), but we were all very kind and appreciative of the service they were providing and I don't feel our behavior warranted the type of treatment we received while we were there. Again, maybe the staff was having an off day or maybe there was some kind of in-fighting among staff members but we did not feel welcome at all. It's upsetting because the food, again, was incredible, truly some of the best on our entire five days in Chania, but it's difficult to recommend this establishment to anyone due to the service we received. If it came down to how we were dressed, I would have rather been turned away than to have been seated and treated how we were. I hope this makes it to management and a solution can be reached for future patrons because we really enjoyed our food (the chicken and dragon roll in particular were absolutely to die for. Major props to the sushi chefs!!).

Myself and 5 of my most amazing girlfriends had the most incredible dinner here and we were greeted by a very charming proprietor. The food was great, the wine was perfect and they gave us a few sips of different wines for us to choose from. All the food was beautifully presented. The service was lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend that anyone tries this place. The decor is lovely as well and we would definitely return again when we come to Chania next time.

The experience was surprisingly impressive from start to finish. The restaurant has a modern style rather than a traditional taverna, which made it stand out. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Oh my gosh, this place is incredible! 🤩 Just a few minutes from Chania's old town, the ambiance is absolutely lovely, especially our cute courtyard table. The food was so good and tasty! 😋 The staff were impeccable – so attentive and friendly! You HAVE to try this spot if you're in Chania! ✨💯
