Röntgen is the bar in the Hverfisgata 12 complex that keeps winning the city's best-bar vote, less about a fancy cocktail list than about mood, music and the crowd it pulls. It gets loud and busy late.
It sits in the same building as Hósiló, so dinner and drinks can share a roof. Go later rather than earlier to catch it at its best.

Really cozy bar in Reykjavik! The regular themed nights are an added bonus providing extra entertainment. The food was good and the drinks are a good price, especially at happy hour.

What a perfect bar. We wanted to drink somewhere that felt authentic and this place delivered. The drinks were fantastic, the bartenders were AMAZING and the vibe makes you feel like you're sitting in your friend's living room. If we're ever back in Iceland, we'll be back at this bar.

Open late and typically packed with young people dancing and revelling. Great atmosphere and a highly skilled DJ that masterfully blends old school from 80s/90s with hip hop and dance tracks. Reads the room perfectly. Definitely recommend this as your last stop.
