A living-room café in an old townhouse

Stofan, which means 'the living room', is exactly that: a laid-back café spread across the worn armchairs and old furniture of a townhouse near the harbour on Vesturgata. Soups, sandwiches, cakes and slow refills are the point.

It's a place to sit out the rain with a book rather than a grab-and-go. The upstairs is the spot to claim if it's free.
