Goregaon's first proper cocktail bar

Goregaon has restaurants everywhere and almost no real cocktail bars. Bodega39 fixes that. The 2,500 square foot space runs a glass facade and an alfresco section, sun-bright by day and much moodier once the lights go down.

Drinks lean on fresh produce with garnishes made in house. Food is modern European and Indian small plates, sized to pair with the cocktails rather than fill you up. It sits inside the Oberoi Garden City business park, so weeknights pull a steady after-work crowd.

Went here for dinner with friends with a total of 14 including 5 kids. Had a lot of food...basically tried thier entire small plates menu and then some. Food is very good. Portions are small but taste is spot on. Tried a couple of thier cocktails which were not to our liking. The ambience was amazing. Its unlike anything I have seen in recent memory. The staff is friendly and there is valet parking. A must try for those in and around the area. The cost is a tad bit steep for my liking.

Interesting pub right in the tech area - mimicking standard European churches converted into social gathering places. Think Mercato Mayfair in London - the de-consecreated church vibe, but in this case there was no church to base on. Place was sparsely populated on a Thursday evening, allowed for nice quiet conversations with colleagues. Negroni was on point. Popcorn chicken was decent as well. Missed a good fish fingers - my go-to finger food when visiting India. Interesting menu of cocktails - with the mirror reading gimmick (I'm guessing as a reference to Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola in Rome). Worth a visit.

Bodega39 is the place for all the peeps living in and around MA.KA.BO... The ambiance is picture perfect... The 20-foot glass facade was particularly impressive... Ambience is the main character of bodega39... The food was a bit disappointing... It definitely needs an upgrade... There's always room for improvement... Service was good... A decent outing if you're not a hardcore foodie...

The ambience here is genuinely the star. Stunning interiors, thoughtful lighting, and a vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. Service is polished and the space feels premium — which matches the price point. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting or the cost. The Lasooni Palak Cheese Naan Bomb was overly chewy and quite bland, missing the garlic punch we expected. Mushroom Duxelles Pizza was just average — nothing wrong with it, but nothing memorable either. The Spicy Spaghetti Pomodoro was surprisingly bland for something labeled ‘spicy’. To be fair, the Miso Chicken Tikka was excellent — smoky, well-balanced, and easily the most flavourful dish of the night. The Chicken Biryani was good too. For a restaurant at this price, I’d expect the kitchen to match the ambience. Right now you’re paying for the décor, not the food. Worth a visit for drinks and the atmosphere, but temper expectations on the menu.
