Honey Cafe & Slow Bar

A real pour-over slow bar in a town that mostly serves instant
Specialty coffee this far north in Laos isn't a given, which is why Honey Cafe gets noticed. It runs a proper slow bar, pour-over included, pouring Geisha-variety beans grown locally in Xieng Khouang province, processed natural, washed and honey.
It's a small setup, no food menu like Cranky-T or Craters down the road. Everything here is built around the coffee. In a town where other cafes mostly run instant or basic drip, that focus is the whole point.
Good to know
- Ask what's on the slow bar that day, the Geisha lots processed natural, washed and honey rotate.
- This is the specialty-coffee stop in Phonsavan, not the all-day cafe; go for the coffee, not a meal.

I order latte is pretty good one, I have egg tart and latte, it around 85.000k for 2 items, not crowded place, i hope i can work here a bit longer and order something more but one staff just stare me a while (maybe because i was sit there since 11AM to 2PM, kinda long) so i feel a bit awkward and leave instead just order something more BUT the other staff so kind, friendly, and talk nice to me, i will go there again for sure

Very good coffee. The owner takes time and real effort into making every cup of coffee. Thank you.

By far the best coffee I had during my 2 weeks in Laos. Very fresh and clearly good quality. I also had the banana and Nutella crepe which was huge and delicious. I highly recommend this adorable little shop.

The best place in town for breakfast. Vietnam coffee was very sweet (perhaps because I'm not used to) but delicious. Will recommend for friends.
