The unfussy bakery stop before the bus to Phonsavan

No buzz here like Cranky-T or Craters get, but Lanoy keeps showing up on local lists of places worth a stop. It's a bakery in the plain sense: coffee, cake, a few savory items, nothing fancy.

It sits on Route 7 near the other main-strip spots, so it's easy to fold into a walk rather than plan around. Good for a quick break between the museum and the bus terminal.

I just had a seafood pasta here and it was fantastic, with quality ingredients, a subtle flavour profile and perfectly cooked pasta noodles.

We had delicious pizza! Super friendly people and we bought some desserts to bring back to the hotel. They have croissants, chocolate cake and some kind of buns I’m really curious about. Can’t wait!😁

In this town, it is strangely hard to find any western food. For those long term travellers who are getting a little fed up of the noodles and rice, this is the place for you! The wife and I had a Hawaiian pizza and a mushroom and ham pizza (shown). It was delicious and there was ample ingredients. Yes, it was not cheap, but I had half a bag of peanuts for lunch and this was just what I needed. Great service guys……. Thanks for the free Pepsi.

We had a medium pizza (shared by two) and an oreo shake. The pizza was tasty with generous cheese and hot dogs. The oreo shake was fantastic with homemade whipped cream. Service was great -- the cafe is owned by a friendly family! Clearly a popular spot with locals.

Wow, what a great experience! We had a large group of foreigners visit the cafe, and we all enjoyed our experience. They had such efficient and kind service, and all the food was absolutely delicious! She made the pizza specifically to please our taste - she asked ahead of time what kind of sauce and crust we wanted (she can make all different kinds), she made beautiful salads especially for us with homemade salad dressing that was delicious, and the bingsu was lovely and so very tasty! Thank you, Lanoy Bakery, for taking care of our group so well!
