The club music bookers built for themselves

A crew of touring bookers got tired of playing other people's rooms, so they built one that actually works: proper sound, proper lights, no compromise. Flow Music's Motiejus Čaplikas and his fellow agents opened Mello in the Station District with rap improviser Pijus on the first bill.

The calendar since swings between rap, jazz, indie and electronic with no fixed identity. It also rents out as event space, filling the gap between basement DIY nights and seated concert halls. Check the programme before you go, the neighborhood around it is still shifting too.

This was my first time visiting this event space. There is a place to dance and a place to sit down and relax with less noise. The party for the roommates was great, it was fun to see so many rappers sharing one stage. The location is not bad, the prices are low, maybe the only downside is that the shared toilets do not have urinals and we had to wait longer.
