Café Luxa is a young Mauritian chain that has spread across the island's malls, from Riche Terre and Kendra to Ebène and Tribeca. In November 2025 it opened a branch near Trou aux Cerfs in Curepipe. The formula is the same everywhere: espresso drinks, panini, burgers and pastries, in a space built for sitting down rather than grabbing a coffee to go.

Curepipe's usual coffee options were a patisserie counter or a hotel lobby. Luxa gave the plateau town its first café actually designed for hanging around.
