Curepipe's bookshop since 1955, now on Rue Emile Sauzier.

Le Trèfle has sold books in Curepipe since 1955. In October 2025 it moved from the Arcades Currimjee to a standalone building on Rue Emile Sauzier, the first address change in seventy years. Owner Jean-Pierre Lenoir kept the same shelves and the same feel, just with more space to fill them.

Shops in Curepipe rarely last this long. Le Trèfle has outlived several generations of neighbours, and when the lease ran out, Lenoir chose to move rather than close.

Excellent bookstore! With a great selection of Mauritian authors! The bookseller is very helpful and the layout is perfect (clear design, ambient music). I highly recommend everyone take the time to explore it!
