From home bakery to real storefront, with Black Forest slices and a new savoury menu.

The Fudge started out of a home kitchen before opening its first proper storefront at Les Arcades Currimjee on Royal Road, Curepipe, on 2 July 2026. The Black Forest slices and pistachio praline cake built the following before the doors even opened, and the new space adds a savoury menu, so it works for lunch as much as for cake.

It joins a handful of small shops recently refreshed in the same arcade, giving that stretch of Royal Road a reason to stop instead of just walking past.

Absolutely blown away by this pastry shop. The menu is nothing short of genius; every food item and drink feels meticulously crafted, wildly creative, and unapologetically indulgent. From the stunning pastries to the innovative beverages, you can genuinely taste the passion and imagination behind every bite and sip. It’s rare to find a place that balances elegance, comfort, and bold experimentation this perfectly. The staff elevated the entire experience even more. Anaïs welcomed us with the warmest smile and such radiant energy that the place instantly felt inviting. And Yash? Phenomenal barista skills. Our drinks was crafted to perfection; smooth, balanced, beautifully presented, and honestly some of the best coffee artistry I’ve experienced in a long time. One standout was the "Napolitaine ananas-piment" with this subtle spicy kick that completely caught us off guard in the best way possible; rich, sweet, slightly fiery, and unbelievably addictive. A perfect example of how daring and sophisticated their creations are. This place doesn’t just sell pastries and drinks; it delivers an experience. Easily a 5-star gem, will definitely go there again ☺️🙏

The Fudge is a welcoming place, with amazing staff! The owner is very friendly and is very helpful! The new pasta menu is just..exquisite! Finally a different affordable place to eat in Curepipe always innovating! Highly recommended

I absolutely adore the fudge. After so long, Curepipe finally has this little place for a quick lunch or lemonade. Believe me when I tell you the passion fruit lemonade is so refreshing and delicious. I had the crispy chicken wrap and was pleasantly surprised by how filling it was, and how flavorful the crispy chicken tasted. Their cakes, savory menu, everything is superb. The chef and girls there are such lovely people. Absolutely love it.

The Fudge Pastry Shop & Cafe, located in Arcade Currimjee in Curepipe, is a lovely spot for sweet lovers. They offer delicious and unique napolitaines in a variety of flavours like salted chili, pineapple, and other creative options you won’t easily find elsewhere in Mauritius. They also have tasty puit d’amour. One napolitaine costs Rs 90 and is generous enough to be shared among three people. Definitely worth trying if you’re in Curepipe! 😊
