A retro-designed cafe with a careful audio setup

Cupido Cafe opened on Rio Elba Street in Colonia Cuauhtemoc in 2026, a retro-designed coffee shop that put unusual care into its sound system, treating the audio setup as seriously as the pastry case. The vintage furniture and color palette lean harder into a specific era than the more neutral, minimalist look most Roma-Condesa cafes go for.

The pastry program gets the same meticulous attention as the rest of the space, small-batch and rotating rather than a fixed daily case.

I absolutely loved Cupido. The warmth of the wood paneling contrasted with the coolness of the steel details made the ambiance have a really interesting vibe. The music from their HiFi system was great and sounded impeccable. The service staff were all friendly, and I got to chat with one of them about their recently added espresso beans from Nayarit, which was delicious. The banana bread was a perfect accompaniment to the espresso. I can’t wait to come back to hang out and try more food options. Well done Cupido team. ☕️

I loved the first time I came, the second time they told me I could'nt leave my scooter inside... even though its a mini scooter and it folds... and we were the only customers.. it sucks because I was un easy to leave it in the street.

The pistachio pastry is really good. Such a fun environment and I think the atmosphere is really nice too. The people who work here are also quite nice. I came here to do some work and was able to focus and do my stuff even if there was a coffee-making competition. Highly, highly recommend that pistachio pastry!
