Bolognese pasticceria and gelato lab at the end of Kinkerstraat

Start with the zabaglione gelato. It's fresh, a little creamy, and carries a boozy hum from the marsala. Simone Terontoli and Giulia De Iorio met at school in Bologna, she went on to make gelato at Massimo Gelato and Miuz, he mixed cocktails, which explains some of the odder flavour pairings here.

Arte Vanilla is a pasticceria and gelateria in one, sitting at the western tip of Kinkerstraat. Pistachios get roasted on site and the counter looks straight into the lab. Panettone is next on Giulia's list.

Amazing spot! Handmade icecream, you see they have passion for their work- true arte! (-; and the nicest: it’s supertasty, all vegan and they have glutenfree cones, which is amazing for the celiacs among us. 🙏🏼

I’ve now been here twice and loved it both times! First visit was with my colleagues, and the second time I brought my partner. On both occasions, we received exceptional service and enjoyed really tasty ice cream. The person behind the counter was genuinely friendly and you could tell they truly enjoy what they do. I can’t recommend this place enough - it’s a gem! We’ll definitely be back soon.
