A French bistro from a dishwasher turned sommelier
Copain sits on the Lange Putstraat in a fully renovated building. Owner Sven Heijkoop started out as a dishwasher and worked his way up to sommelier before opening his own place.
The open kitchen is led by chef Joshi Wong. The bistro seats 45 for classic French dishes like frog's legs, fruits de mer and steak au poivre.

Actually, 5 stars isn't enough… The food: fantastic and well-seasoned Service: TOP-NOTCH! Very personal and perfect timing The wines and other drinks: beyond expectations and more than delicious We lack the positive words to describe this experience. Accessible dining at a high level with the best accompanying wines one could wish for, and service that stays with you. Compliments, we will definitely be back (very often)!

Copain stands out for the superb service and attention from the management. Along with a menu that isn't extensive, every dish is carefully prepared. I would particularly recommend the steak tartare and the crème brulé.
