Gluten and lactose free food on the Paleiskwartier square

No one at this table has to order around a menu. NovaBlu runs fully gluten free and lactose free, taking cues from the Blue Zones, the places where people reliably grow old in good health.

Expect seasonal produce cooked plainly and well: Limburg asparagus in spring, sea bass off the grill, polder chicken thigh. Chef Michael de Leur's second gluten free restaurant, after Bistro Schatje in Arnhem, sits right on the Leonardo da Vinciplein.

On 8 August we had dinner here with 4 persons and we had a lovely evening! Finally we could go out for dinner where all of us could choose from the entire menu, which is a heartwarming, inclusive, welcoming and delicious experience. The food was tasty and the service was good and friendly. We recommend this restaurant and will return.

We had a wonderfully atmospheric dinner without having to worry about allergens. Highly recommended: the five-course tasting menu. Every course was delicious and tastefully presented. Compliments to the chef, but certainly also to the rest of the staff. Friendly and competent. We will definitely be back.

I don't have celiac disease and/or lactose intolerance myself. A good friend of mine does, which is why she visited this restaurant! I really enjoyed my meal, and so did she. I am very enthusiastic. We both chose the 5-course set menu. That way, we could taste each other's dishes as well. So, in the end, we had 10 different small dishes. They were all very tasty. I complimented the chef and the staff.

Food was tasty and the whole experience was very nice😁So sad to hear that they closed, it’s soo hard to find safe places to eat as a celiac in NL🥺

We went to this new dedicated gluten free restaurant last week. Such a wonderful experience. Everything was so delicious. The chef's wife and child both have celiac disease. Our celiac child did not have any symptoms afterwards and she loved the food too. We have already decided that we will become a regular customer :)
