Six courses, under eighty euros, behind a wine bar

Jaune sits behind the wine bar Flor, at the back of the old Fabuleux building on the Verwersstraat. Vegetables lead the six course menu, meat and fish play support, and the whole thing changes with the season. Chef Nik Tonglet worked the pass at Noma; sommelier Lorenzo van Doorn cut his teeth alongside François Geurds before both came home to Brabant.

Tonglet calls it fun dining, which really means serious cooking in a room that doesn't take itself too seriously. About thirty seats under high ornamented ceilings, down a long marble corridor.

Had a super fun evening at Jaune. The food was very good and the duck breast course was fantastic. The service was very attentive and enthusiastic, and they certainly took the time for a chat. Lorenzo was a fantastic sommelier and entertained us all evening with fantastic wines and knowledge. All in all, had a great evening at this new place!
