A snug bar with a wine and beer list better than the room lets on

Hanekam is a small, warm bar on Øvre Holmegate, pouring wine and beer to a regular crowd on Stavanger's painted street. The list is more considered than the size of the room suggests.

It fills fast on evenings and weekends, cosy and convivial. One of a string of good bars that make the street a night out on its own.

I can assert that is one of the best place to spend the evening in Stavanger. A nice selection of beers and good music will let you enjoy your afternoon dinner time.

We were told that this is a very nice bar! We went there briefly because as per Norwegian law minors are not allowed in bars after 21:00. So, we only went in for a while but while we were there we realised that the music was great and we were so sorry it was after 21:00!!! The place was nicely decorated with an amazing vibe! The stuff was also very polite explaining the law. As my daughter said: “in 5 years I will be back!”

Cool place for hanging out with friends and groups. Nostalgic ambience and feels very good to see the radiant colours, Neon lights and good drinks. Recommended place for Sundays and weekdays.
