Five friends, one taproom, 100% island-brewed beer

Five young Puerto Rican founders brew every batch on-site at their Altamira Reserve taproom. They're obsessive about water, running it through an ultra-purification process they credit for the clean profile across the whole lineup.

Open Wednesday through Sunday with indoor and outdoor seating, plus a real food menu, rare for a brewery this size. Worth the trip out of the tourist zones.

We have been here a few times. Tapas, homemade fries and churrasco really good. Their locally produced beers are really good. The only problem is that they tend to be warm, even though they are draft. Also the a/c is frequently to hot.

I’m in town for work, but I always make it a point to check out local spots. As a self-proclaimed beer snob and foodie who’s visited over 500 breweries, I was excited to give this place a try. I got a flight of six beers and the food sampler, and both were fantastic. The beer was top-notch, the food was amazing, and the bartender was fantastic last night—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. If I lived here, I’d be here all the time. I’m glad I got the chance to visit and would definitely recommend checking it out.

Great place to have a few beers brewed locally. Great service friendly staff and super atmosphere. You can't go wrong with any beer you order its just hard to stick with one.

Service was great and the staff was very attentive to our group. Their house-made beer was excellent, with a nice variety of options depending on what you’re in the mood for. The atmosphere was also very enjoyable—relaxed, welcoming, and easy to have conversations with your group. The food was good overall, although the burger was a bit salty, and a few others in our group felt the same. The truffle fries were good, but they didn’t taste very different from the regular fries. Overall, we had a great experience and would go again.
