Sous Sol sits below street level on Strada Franceză, and the basement stairs do the filtering for you. Nobody stumbles in here by accident. The menu shifts as the bar team tests new techniques and odd ingredients, so it rarely reads the same twice.

This is where Bucharest's serious drinkers go when the party street above gets old. Come early on weekends, the seats fill fast and there's no shortcut around the wait.

Really awesome place to get cocktails! Really great vibes with the hidden entrance and the underground bar. The menu is really fun with a lot of unique cocktails in fun serving styles. We tried four different ones and all were really good. The staff was nice and happy to help with anything.

An okay experience. Came in and ordered my favourite cocktail from the classic. The bartender proceeded to be very agitated over how I liked my cocktail. This was about a brand of spirit I chose to use in a cocktail - not even a type of spirit - but a brand. After an eager discussion she made peace with my choice , you could see that we felt he went a bit too far.. after that they offered me a free shot - it was nice. Overall I give 3 stars because the cocktail was actually good, but not 5 stars because of the approach to the customer. Prices are high.

Tucked away underground and intentionally a bit hard to find, this experimental cocktail spot feels like a hidden world you’re meant to discover, not just stumble into. Once you’re in, everything clicks - the atmosphere is on point, the music sets the mood perfectly, and the whole place has that effortlessly cool energy. The bartenders really elevate the experience. They’re not just there to serve drinks - they guide you through it, recommend, explain, and make the whole thing feel personal. We also got lucky and landed on a night with a wine tasting for a specific brand, plus an additional menu, which made the whole experience even more special. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

It was ok. Book up first as they're fussy about letting you in. We went in early and were sat around the corner in the empty room. Cocktails very fancy, but it felt too quiet so we left after one drink

Thank you Richard and Adina for the amazing cocktails and hospitality!! Very good bar with a respectful ambience, thoughtful cocktails, and great music. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely come back <3
