All-day restaurant, café and pâtisserie by Cinéma Pathé

Movie next door, then dinner, then a 2am snack. KeurGui runs restaurant, café and pâtisserie under one roof in Mermoz, open 8am to 3am, so whatever hour you land at, something's on the menu.

Sunday brunch runs 11am to 4pm and the frappuccino is the order regulars keep asking for by name. It sits right beside Polygon Lounge, and the two have turned this stretch of Mermoz into a proper little food-and-drink corner.

I’m vegan and it is often difficult to find good vegan friendly food in Dakar. I ordered the veggie pizza with pizza sauce oregano and no cheese. It was the best pizza I’ve had in Senegal. You can tell the crust is made fresh each day and it wood fired so the crust was so fluffy and the pizza had a lot of flavor. The vegetables were fresh and included onions, zucchini, mushrooms and eggplant. I also ordered chips or fries which were fresh also. The wait time for delivery was a bit long so considering ordering well in advance. The prices are high for Senegalese take out. See attached receipt. Pizza was 10,000 cfa but I would pay it again. Mom Ordered salmon cream pasta and really enjoyed it also

KeurGui is a lovely two-story space with beautiful interior architecture and a great outdoor area. I visited during the World Cup, and they had multiple screens set up, which made for a fantastic atmosphere. Menu was designed very well with city and touristique places of Senegal that was nice. The beverage quality is high—the barista is professional, uses a great espresso machine, and produces beautiful latte art. The matcha, however, was a bit too sweet for my taste and not quite the standard I expected. Regarding the pastries, the strawberry tart and crème pâtissière were excellent, made with real vanilla. My only critique is that the millefeuille crust felt a little thin and would benefit from more layers to get that classic texture right. Also, the air conditioning system could be improved to better manage the climate inside. Overall, a great spot!

The service was impeccable, nothing to complain about, especially the waiter Philippe. He was kind, open, and welcoming, mashallah.

The food is good (special shoutout to the cakes), their sunday brunch is the best value for money in Dakar, but the best thing about Keur Gui are the staff - they are kind, attentive, funny, good with kids. They ask for your name as a returning customer and remember it. They always have a smile and they are efficient. Overall the best - let me repeat to make it clear - BEST SERVICE in Senegal. For that experience alone a visit to Keur Gui is worth it. Reserve in advance for sunday brunch.

Their burger was amazing and the fries were chip shaped? Cool concept will have to make my own like that. Space is very well curated and perfect to dine in or to work from home
