A 400 square meter club and terrace on Plaza San Juan de Dios
Six in the evening, the terrace opens and drinks start before the music does. By midnight the club is running DJ sets that push through to six in the morning on weekends.
Grupo Momart, Cadiz's biggest nightlife operator, took over the old Taberna El Volapié space for this one. It sits a few doors from Nu, another Momart room, on what's become the group's stretch of the square. Louder and younger than most bars here, skip it if you want to talk.

We had a great night! Tha place is beautiful, the drinks are nicely priced, the DJs are amazing, the staff is doing a great job considering that they aren’t enough of them to attend both the inside and the outside part of the club. Well done to the whole team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

First, the good: great atmosphere, mostly locals, average age 47, though there's a bit of everything. Efficient security: the bouncers at the door, while serious, take their job very professionally. I even saw them in action during the night, and hats off to them. Attentive, organized, and quite relaxed about the dress code (there's practically none). Prices: reasonable. Nothing like €16 for a whiskey. Dress code: relaxed, no strict rules, and you can do your own thing, which translates into more diversity and a better atmosphere. Space: it's quite large and very well lit, the dance floor is clean, and so is the bar. Good. Staff: professional, also serious. But they're working hard (if you want to know what hostility in a club is like, I recommend going to Marbella). The negative: Bathroom cleanliness: poor. The men's sink doesn't have a handle or latch, although the customers are responsible for this, hygiene suffers as the night goes on. And the main reason, and the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars: the music. It was 2026, and they were playing "Marcha de Rosario," "Chiquilla" by Seguridad Social, mixed with a sevillana by Omar Montes, the Black Eyed Peas, and "Freed From Desired." I understand that the public might be less demanding when it comes to music, but I've always felt that a club should also enrich its patrons musically. Because loving also means knowing when to let go; no more overplayed music in our pubs. Let's eradicate this endemic problem. The place itself is highly recommended.

It's a pub in the heart of Cadiz with live music on weekends and free entry. It has a great atmosphere and beautiful decor, perfect for drinks and dancing, with seating in the back. They have a cloakroom for €1. Drinks only, no food.

During our stroll through Cadiz, we stopped here. The location is lovely, and the seating on the terrace is inviting. The interior of Essenzia, which bills itself as a day and night club, is beautifully designed. A live band was playing, and the music was good. The selection of drinks at the two bars is extensive, although cocktails aren't offered. There's also no drinks menu. The white wine and vermouth were both very good, though the prices were on the higher end. The employee who was in charge of the outdoor area and served our drinks was very friendly and efficient. Access to the premises was straightforward during our visit; there were no bouncers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
