Zaragoza's first dystopian, futurist dining room
Step into Vértico and you're not in Zaragoza anymore, at least not the Zaragoza you know. The dystopian, futurist decor is the first restaurant of its kind here, and the menu backs it up with Aragonese dishes alongside international flavours, gluten-free and vegetarian options included.
Thursday to Saturday afternoons, the space splits identity. Líquido takes over the bar side with travel-themed signature cocktails, so you can come just for drinks and skip the dining room entirely.

I liked it, but I expected more. The presentation of the dishes was impressive, but it created very high expectations. We missed several dishes: the sausage balls didn't taste very good to me. The finalist tapa was good, but not exceptional in my opinion. I really liked the chicken with rice, and the lasagna too. My favorite dish was the secreto (Iberian pork).

The descriptions of the food don't do justice to the explosion of flavors you experience in your mouth. The dishes are incredible, and they pay special attention to the presentation. The lasagna as a starter was a 10/10, highly recommended, as was the flaming lamb, which was truly fiery. Incredible service, incredible food, and an incredible establishment.

4/5 The place is quite original, and we liked that they used products from Aragon and put their own spin on them in their dishes. We took the recommendation and, for two people, ordered one dish from each category to share. We ordered the "Treasures of Graus," and they were delicious; six pieces for two was a good amount. Then we ordered the Iberian pork belly "Ssam," which was very good, although we found the pieces quite small, and three for two people seemed a bit insufficient. However, it was original and very tasty. We ordered the "Origen 2.0," and honestly, if we had known it was a burger, we might have tried something else (it's a personal preference). The dish itself wasn't bad, but we would have risked trying something else. For our final course, we ordered the Vertico ribeye steak, which was good. It's a 500g ribeye that was tasty, but we found it quite tough; perhaps we were just unlucky. To finish, we had the Enchanted Rose for dessert, which is worth it for that alone; it's a 10/10, absolutely delicious and not too sweet. This is a completely honest opinion. The service was adequate, neither overly friendly nor unfriendly. The place is beautifully decorated and original.
