Iraqi and Iranian cooking, kept side by side

Two supperclub cooks who built a following before they had a room finally got one. Ziad Halub and Farsin Rabiee run Logma on Goldsmith's Row, and the menu keeps their cuisines, Iraqi and Iranian, distinct instead of folding them into something blander.

Iraqi cooking barely exists in London outside home kitchens, which alone makes this worth the walk. Goldsmith's Row sits between Broadway Market and Hackney Road, quiet at one end, busier at the other.

So here’s the deal: you need to find a friend, maybe two, you then need to order one of everything on the menu and then you need to cop a squat across the street from the restaurant. You will have THE best makeshift picnic with true quality ingredients. A must visit in London - do not let the queue deter you, either get there early or get comfy until it’s your turn.

Worth the hype 😮‍💨the kofte meat was so flavourful, seasoned super well and really soft. The sourdough bread also a standout!!!

Nice new spot just off London fields. Ordered the kofta and the aubergine. Both were really nice but felt like it’s much better value with the kofta. For how long the queue is will be coming back midweek!

We had a wonderful experience at Logma Café! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were very generous, making it excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we felt very well looked after. I would definitely recommend Logma Café to anyone looking for great food, generous portions, and outstanding customer service. We’ll certainly be coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I visited Logma Restaurant with friends and overall had a really pleasant experience. We ordered the kufta sandwich and the aubergine sandwich. I had the kufta, which was a bit dry for my taste, and I would have preferred the meat to be a little more tender and cooked differently. That said, the bread was really lovely, and the sandwich itself was very filling and satisfying. My friend had the aubergine sandwich and really enjoyed it, saying it was full of flavour and very well balanced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, cozy, warm, and inviting, but it is quite a small space. If you want to sit inside, you may need to wait for a table, as it gets busy, especially during peak times. It’s definitely a popular spot, so it’s worth keeping some time aside for a possible queue. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they kindly helped us find seating when possible, which we really appreciated. Overall, Logma Restaurant is a nice place with a good atmosphere, friendly service, and solid food options. While not everything was perfect for my personal taste, I would still recommend it, especially for the aubergine sandwich and the overall vibe of the place.
