Hawaiian barbecue lands inside a Sylvan Hills food hall

Pele's Pit is the reason to detour into La Bodega, the market and food hall anchoring Sylvan Hills. Hawaiian barbecue isn't something this Southside neighborhood had before, and it fills a real gap on a stretch with little destination dining of its own.

It's part of a slow push of new restaurants past the Beltline into Atlanta's Southside, echoing the earlier wave that hit West End and Adair Park a few miles north.
