Cooper Coffee & Wine

Coffee by day, wine by night on the Cooper River
Cooper Coffee & Wine runs on two clocks. Mornings mean coffee, pastries and light breakfast from 7am, then the room shifts into wine and small plates as the afternoon wears on.
It sits on the ground floor of The Cooper hotel near the marina, on a stretch of Concord Street that barely existed as a dining spot before the hotel went up. The daytime crowd skews neighborhood as much as hotel guest.

This coffee shop has a fantastic location right on the water, making it the perfect spot for a cozy and relaxing break. The staff here is super friendly, highly professional, and perfectly willing to accommodate any reasonable requests. While the space inside is quite small and tends to get really crowded (there is often a line just to order), the service is impressively fast once your order is in. I’ve tried multiple items on the menu, and everything has been great. However, the absolute standout is the Nutella croissant with banana and marshmallow—it’s incredible and comes with a very generous serving of Nutella. Highly recommend checking it out!

This was the perfect spot for a morning coffee and croissant. I loved the outdoor seating on the waterfront; it made the perfect backdrop. I got one of their specialty lattes "The Cooper River" which I think was vanilla and other flavors and it was delicious. Right now, they have a pistachio latte, a vanilla latte, and orange spice latte in addition to all the classic coffee options. They have a pastry case as well with some sweet treats. The inside had a few tables and booths, but the space isn't huge. I went on a Monday so it was easy to snag a spot indoor or outdoor, but I can see this spot being crowded on a weekend.
