A Balinese courtyard hides behind Duval's old Casa 325 shell
Skip the bar crawl outside and step into a courtyard wrapped in carved wood, dark timber and heavy planting. The old Casa 325 got a full gut renovation and came back as The Key West Hotel, but the rooms still face the garden and heated pool rather than the street noise.
The Balinese look is a genuine outlier on an island built from white clapboard and pastel. Bali Bar on site runs live music through the day and pulls in locals as much as guests, and you're a couple of blocks from Mallory Square and the Hemingway Home either way.
Good to know
- The entrance is off Duval and the rooms face inward, so it is much quieter than the address suggests.
- The Bali Bar runs live music through the afternoon.

Everything about The Key West Hotel was absolutely AMAZING!!!! We visited in late May and we are still talking about this little gem in Key West. All of the staff were wonderful… office staff- so helpful, grounds keepers- maintain the property beautifully, bar staff- top notch, friendly and hard working, house keepers- kept our room pristine! The little special details sprinkled throughout the property were so meaningful, unique, and beautiful. The location is right in the center of everything. However, when you are there you feel tucked away in a peaceful little paradise. After leaving the hotel, I realized I left something behind in the closet. Management was so kind to mail it to me. This was exactly the special little getaway that my husband and I were looking for! We will definitely be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Key West Hotel at 325 Duval Street, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely beautiful, combining the charm and character that make Key West so special with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was spending time at the Bali Bar. The live music was fantastic, creating the perfect island vibe whether you were enjoying a cocktail or simply relaxing after a day exploring Duval Street. The energy was lively without being overwhelming, and it truly felt like the heart of the property. What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. Their hospitality made the entire experience memorable from start to finish. The location couldn't be better, the accommodations were excellent, and the overall atmosphere captured everything people love about Key West. I can't say enough good things about this property and the Bali Bar. If you're visiting Key West and looking for a place that delivers outstanding service, great entertainment, and a true island experience, this is it. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning.

Hidden behind the palms and tropical greenery of Duval Street, The Key West Hotel feels like discovering a private tropical sanctuary in the middle of Key West. The moment you walk through the gates marked “Come Hide,” the outside world fades away and the atmosphere becomes calm, artistic, and completely island-inspired. One of the best parts of the property is the hidden Bali Bar and pool area tucked away behind the lush landscaping. Surrounded by tropical plants, tiki carvings, statues, and shaded corners, the space feels intimate and peaceful — almost like a secret garden only a few people know about. The Bali Bar has a relaxed island energy with bamboo textures, cozy seating, and creative decor that captures the free-spirited personality of Key West. It is the kind of place where you can sit for hours with a drink, listen to music, and completely unwind. The pool area adds even more to the experience. Instead of feeling crowded or overly commercial, it feels private and tranquil, surrounded by greenery and artistic details everywhere you look. The hidden layout gives the space a secluded vibe, making it easy to forget you are directly on busy Duval Street. During the day, sunlight filters beautifully through the palms and creates a dreamy tropical atmosphere perfect for relaxing or taking photos. What truly makes this hotel stand out is its personality. Every walkway, sculpture, tiki mask, and tropical corner feels intentionally designed to create an immersive island escape. The artistic details throughout the property make the hotel feel soulful and unique rather than generic. There is a creative energy here that makes the experience memorable long after you leave. The location is another major advantage. You are within walking distance of restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and entertainment, yet once inside the property, it feels quiet and hidden away from the crowds. That balance between excitement and serenity is hard to find in Key West. If you are looking for a boutique hotel with tropical beauty, hidden spaces, artistic charm, and a relaxing island atmosphere, The Key West Hotel delivers a truly unforgettable experience. The hidden Bali Bar and secluded pool area alone make it feel like one of Key West’s best-kept secrets.

Staying here was a central factor to the multiple enjoyment I experienced in Key West. The room was clean, extraordinarily comfortable, and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. The Bali Bar in back quickly became my favorite bar, with amazing bartenders, great music, and unbelievably friendly patrons who only added to the overwhelming atmosphere of welcome. The establishment’s tag line is “Come Hide” which captures it to a T. It’s location on Duval Street was ideal for me, as I was on foot. Like Bourbon Street in NOLA, Duval is a tourist hub, but I didn’t feel it when I was on the property or in my room. I unequivocally recommend the Key West Hotel to anyone venturing to these climatically soothing, magical parts, and I plan to return to it. Blessings.
