Our first visit was such a memorable experience! This place came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We sat at the raw bar, which made the experience even more fun—we loved chatting with the staff and watching all the behind-the-scenes action. Everyone on the team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and every interaction made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding—easily a 10/10. A special shoutout to John for the amazing service! We can't wait to come back.

We were recommended by trusted friend... It was great. We checked it out first with a cocktail and then came back for dinner. The service and food were fantastic. We had oysters, ceviche and fish which were all great. We also had a couple of great cocktails. Well recommended 💯

Square Grouper was hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in Key West. From the moment we walked in, everything was outstanding. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. I ordered the filet, and it was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The mashed potatoes and crispy onion strings were the perfect sides. My wife ordered the chicken, and it was just as impressive. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful, and you could tell everything was made with care. The meal was so good that I completely forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I only remembered halfway through because we were too busy enjoying the food. If you’re visiting Key West, Square Grouper is an absolute must. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and a relaxed atmosphere that made for a perfect dinner. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Key West. Highly recommend!

The Square Grouper is a must visit when visiting the Keys. There was an hour wait when we first attempted to eat here so we decided to wait and return another night; and I'm so glad we did return. First of all, our server, Nevo, was beyond amazing. Working in the food industry is a difficult job but Nevo handled not only our table, but his others, effortlessly, while making you feel as if you were his only customers. The food was phenomenal. We ordered a couple different salads, the conch and the octopus. The octopus was on the dinner specials as an appetizer but they made it an entree (by doubling the appetizer amount/price). The presentation was flawless, the food fresh and flavorful. Nevo was personable, attentive and telepathic, knowing what we might need before we asked. I highly recommend a visit and if you are lucky enough to sit in his section, you will be well taken care of.

If you’re in Key West this is a place you need to visit! I have been multiple times to the original in Cudjoe but this one has a different flare. Menu, decor, style is all its own. If you’re a Key’s person, a new time visitor, this restaurant is a staple in the lower Keys and has a unique story / history behind it. The food was amazing and service was exceptional. I love how they decorated this location and that they provide a different menu. Local catch of the day is available and caught right off the Keys shores. You will not be disappointed!
