The downtown Persian favourite, reborn in Little River

Fooq's spent years downtown as one of the few restaurants locals used more than visitors, then closed. It reopened in Little River on 23 January 2026, keeping the Persian-French menu (the family's rice, herbs and stews crossed with bistro cooking) and gaining a bigger room.

Little River has become the destination for restaurants priced out of Wynwood. This is the arrival that confirmed it.

An unforgettable dining experience! The food was absolutely incredible—every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our servers, Yager and Noel, were outstanding. They were attentive, patient, and genuinely kind, taking the time to recommend some of the best dishes on the menu, and every recommendation was spot on. From the moment we arrived until the end of our meal, the sommelier was warm, welcoming, and attentive, helping us select a superb wine that paired perfectly with our meal. We tried a wide variety of dishes, and everything exceeded our expectations. Between the exceptional food, impeccable service, and outstanding wine, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The atmosphere, service, and food were amazing. We were a group of 6, and our server Matt took great care of us all night. After dinner, we went upstairs to the Lion’s Den and had so much fun. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a great dinner and then a fun spot to dance and enjoy the rest of your evening. We’ll definitely be back! 😊

Fooq is a beautiful Persian-inspired restaurant with tasteful decor and a really chic atmosphere. The space feels stylish and thoughtfully designed, making it a lovely spot for a night out. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant sits right by the train tracks. Tall trees hide them, so you don’t really realize it until a long cargo train comes passing through with what feels like endless containers behind it. If I had known beforehand, I definitely would have requested a table inside. I’m sure you can still hear it indoors, but likely not as much as outside. The portion sizes felt a little small for dishes meant to be shared, but there were definitely highlights. The lamb kabobs were the standout dish; absolutely delicious. Their signature spicy margarita was also so yummy, refreshing, and light. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate mousse. Overall, it was a cute experience and I’m glad I went. While I’m not sure I’d rush back on my own, it’s still worth trying?

This is a great restaurant with beautiful ambience and pleasant service. We were a party of 4 and ordered the Fooq's Feast which is a selection of few menu items. To start I looked at the wine list and noticed the wine prices were marked up four times from the retail on line prices. I had inquired in advance and was aware they charge $75 corkage fee. (I will definitely bring my own wine and pay the corkage fee). I reduced half a star for this reason. We all ordered from the cocktail menu and the beverages were well prepared and presented. The food was delightful and absoloutly delicious. The burnt eggplant dish was mouthwatering. The Tahdig dish is interesting, exciting and delicious. However, the Ghormeh Sabzi was disappointing for being spicy and a bit off. I like spicy food but this dish tastes a lot better without adding so much hot pepper. The Wagyu meat was prepared to perfection. The wait staff were great and friendly complementing a beautiful outdoor setting. I will defeinitely return to this restaurant but will not order the pre-selected menu.
