Vietnamese coffee and matcha on Nicollet Avenue

Come for the Vietnamese coffee, stay for the room. Wishi Co. anchors a corner spot in Whittier with a drink menu that leans into coffee and matcha over food, plus a mocktail list for anyone skipping caffeine.

The interior is the kind you'll want to photograph before you drink. It's become a daytime hangout, less about a quick grab and more about lingering with something well made.

My fiancé and I had a great experience at Wishi. Friendly staff and even one of the cooks or owners came out and checked in on us. Genuinely amazing food, especially for a savory breakfast girlie. Will be back for matcha and more coffee for sure!

The creme brulee Vietnamese coffee was pretty good. Decent bitterness and sweetness. The nicollet burger was just okay at best. Bland and well done patties. Most of the flavor carried by the bacon. Too tall to be eaten easily. Can't taste the avocado. Nicely seasoned fries, crispy outside and soft inside. The burger was a good size but the fries were a smallish portion for the price. Hide and seek tofu was barely okay. Bland tofu for the most part, chewy outside and soft inside. The lemongrass seasoning was either overwhelming or nonexistent depending on whether the bite had any of the loose seasoning. The fried lemongrass was not edible at all but took up most of the plate.

I had been wanting to visit Wishi Co., and we finally made it happen. It’s a small but very cozy spot. We ordered the bacon fries, sausage quesadilla, lunch bowl, and matcha French toast—and, of course, a pistachio mocha and strawberry soda. Everything was delicious and creatively presented, making the dishes look incredibly appetizing. I’ll share the menu so you can see the prices and options for food and drinks. There isn’t a kids' menu. The service was fantastic, and the place is clean with a modern look. Parking is on-street along Nicollet Avenue, so finding a spot right away might be a bit tricky, but if you enjoy spending time with your best friend, this place is definitely worth it.

The food, drinks and service was amazing! I got the creme bruilee Vietnamese coffee and it was bomb! The bacon fries were crispy with just enough sauce. Eggs Benedict was tasty with the thinly sliced beef and toasty bread. I loved the Nicollet burger! The patties are crumbly and flavorful. The bun was so buttery and well toasted! I also got the nourishing beef dish and this was so tasty. The bread must be freshly made with a crusty outside and super soft insides! You rip it and add the beef, patte and runny eggs on top of it. It was like a breakfast bahn mi! Tasted amazing! This place is really tasty but limited seating and it filled up quickly after we got there. I would definitely go back!

Was in the area for the weekend, and this was easily the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Never thought of having pesto on avocado toast, and the pesto on the breakfast sandwich honestly was an amazing surprise. But the real star was the matcha french toast which I greedily ate the rest of late at night. Highly recommend, would visit the city again just for this breakfast!
