Alla Vita landed on Houston Street in June 2026, the third Chicago import on a single Wedgewood-Houston block after Momotaro and Middleman. The room is tall and loud in a good way, built for six people splitting handmade pasta, antipasti and a wood-fired pizza before anyone commits to a ribeye or the branzino.
Go with a group. Two people ordering here will leave feeling like they missed the point, and the pastas are the strongest thing on the menu anyway.

We walked in at 8:30 on a Friday night after walking out of a reservation at another restaurant and I’m so glad we did! The woman at the hostess stand was so inviting and helpful. The bartender that served us was top notch and excellent at his job. Everything we ordered absolutely exceeded our expectations. This meal was the highlight of our trip!

Chris was great as our server. He helped me navigate what was gluten free and safe. When I tell you they have the BEST Gluten Free pasta!! I even had to ask Chris the brand because it was so good! Decor is super fun in there as well! Definitely recommend!

10/10 our girls group will definitely be making this a regular spot! food, drinks, service, atmosphere is amazing. Colton was our server & we will ask for his section again!

Exceptional, in right Neighbourhood from food, service and atmosphere. Definitely come to have dinner Or just the drinks. Also great talking to Chicago Bar manager Adam and Learning about Chicago restaurant group expanding to Nashville. We’ll be back.
