Mayfair's priciest Punjabi kitchen lands in Nomad
The butter chicken chops are the reason to book. Ambassadors Clubhouse built its name in Mayfair on Punjabi cooking priced like an expense-account lunch, and the bi-level Nomad room keeps that register intact.
Prawn curry runs a close second on the menu. The team calls the fit-out regally outfitted, which tracks with everything else here.

Amazing for group dinners! Ambassadors Clubhouse holds up strong with excellent service, and outstanding food in a very nice dim lit ambiance. The Wagyu beef Keema Naan was my favorite, well loaded naan thats also spicy paired with a great bone marrow sauce. Then the Butter Chicken Chops were excellently cooked and seasoned, I could’ve had a whole order my self.

We had a wonderful lunch at Ambassador Club House in New York! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, and the food exceeded our expectations. We started with the selection of papads, which were absolutely delicious and a great way to begin the meal. The chili cheese pakode were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, while the Raj Kachori Chaat was fresh, vibrant, and incredibly tasty. For drinks, the Masala Margarita and Tandoori Margarita were both unique, refreshing, and expertly crafted. The kids loved the Masala Thumbs Up, which was flavorful and a fun twist on a classic drink. For the main course, the Dunghar Paneer Tikka was smoky, tender, and full of rich flavors. The Methi Malai Morel Mattar was creamy, aromatic, and one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience with delicious food, great drinks, and outstanding service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Our servers were amazing. Special shout out to Dani from bungalow fame who finished us off with the paan dark chocolate mousse balls ! The presentation on every item was amazing. My favorite were surprisingly the butter chicken chicken chops and the duck pickled hors d'oeuvres and the rajkachori beetroot chaat had me in tears of joy . The main reason I had to ding a star on the food was the god-awful lamb chops. I’m usually the Roger ebert of halal restaurants but damn- These have got to be in the top 10 worst lamb chops of my life. The thing about lamb chops as a menu item is that they are incredibly hard to mess up because of the innate juicy deliciousness that elevates any seasoning But to marinate them in a way that actually masks their intrinsic flavor- That’s quite an accomplishment. That said the triple marinated lamb chops and Musaafir are really something to write home about. Thankfully, it was rumored that the biryani might fall in a similar categories, so we successfully avoided that and our Punjabi palates were spared. The main chicken dish Which took around 90 minutes to make was very ornate and the attention to detail along with the carving on the pastry puff was amazing. the stuffed chicken itself was moist with yummy gravy. My other qualm was Mostly just sheer confusion and disappointment at the fact that none of the beef / veal was Halal . As an iconic south Asian establishment in New York City of all places ( and hailing from gymkhana group in London itself ) I found this to be kind of ironic since presumably Most of the beef eaters from India would be Muslim…and makeup, a large majority of the New York City clientele. That combined with the fact that some of the highest quality meat available in New York City at various establishments, including iconic steaks at Boucherie , minetta tavern and various French establishments etc are Halal; I was told the Wagyu beef only had a mere marbling score of five which is good but also easily accessible in the halal market making it more grass fed and hormonal health friendly too which made me wonder what the constraint was. It might be a cost cutting Decision but still not suited for a restaurant aiming for Michelin stars. Overall, the taste did a decent job, combining Indian authenticity with creativity and novelty. I will probably go back for the Alaskan style dessert that was sold out. We had the jalebi instead which was solid.

Ambasador Clubhouse NY was a fantastic dining experience. The food was excellent, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented, but what really stood out was the exceptional service From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, warm, and incredibly professional. They made the entire meal feel smooth and special, with great timing and genuine hospitality We had a wonderful selection of breads, dips, and rich, flavorful dishes that made the meal. We had the Beef naan, tandoori (amazing), Raj kachori (amazing), chicken changezi (ok), Daal makhani (amazing or the best of all), Chole and kulcha (good) and for desert we had the Galebi (amazing again). memorable, and the overall experience felt elevated from start to finish. If you’re looking for a place with great food and truly outstanding service in New York, Ambasador Clubhouse NY is worth visiting

Food was super delicious. It felt like choices were from mostly north indian cuisine. The variety of papads with the assorted chutneys were tasty. The stuffed mirchi (pepper) on a bed of boondi was shared by two. The pepper was delicious with the accompanying dip but the boondi didnt serve any purpose for me. We left back most of boondi. My partner ordered the chicken with roti & I ordered saag & makki roti. Both were very delicious but known flavors. We expected to discover new flavors which we were bit disappointed in. Maybe we didnt order the right dishes. That being said, it has fabulous ambience & service. And I reiterate that food was very delicious. A great restaurant to have a nice romantic date or family dinner!
