A house of fun named for María Félix

Casa Felix's own team calls it the House of Fun, and the room lives up to the name. Crispy tuna bites and chipotle mussels come out fast, built for a table that's already getting loud.

The cooking leans clubby Mexican rather than regional, from the Ophelia and Art Bar group on Seventh Avenue. Come for the mussels, stay for the noise.

I was in the neighbourhood looking for a place to catch up with a friend. We sat at the bar order some margarita and some apps bartender was amazing everything was delicious and the vibes was good and so did the music. Manager check with us as well. FYI they also have a back room where is more kind of speakeasy decor would be great for a date night

10/10 recommend. Our new fave Mexican restaurant!! Short rib was amazing and so were the cocktails. Tres Leches was delicious!!

This place is directly across from me, so I was excited to finally try it—especially because it has such a beautiful outdoor area. My friend and I were the first people seated outside when they opened. We ordered drinks and a few appetizers, and when we were ready for another round, we wanted to order something new and asked whether these drinks were included in happy hour. That’s when our waitress told us happy hour was only available at the bar. No one mentioned this restriction when we sat down or placed our first order. The restaurant was also completely empty at the time, yet the manager still refused to honor the happy-hour pricing. We were told we could close our outdoor tab, move to the bar, and open a new one—but the entire reason we chose the restaurant was to sit outside on such a beautiful day. We ended up leaving instead of ordering more. Limiting happy hour to the bar is their choice, but it should be clearly communicated before customers order. Refusing to accommodate us under these circumstances felt unnecessarily rigid and made for a disappointing experience—especially for potential regulars who live directly across the street. We ended up leaving and went somewhere around the corner that had happy hour at outdoor tables

Great experience at Casa Felix! I got the chicken tacos sooo YUMMY. We had amazing service, especially the host Maya. She created such a welcoming atmosphere! God bless her<3 I will be back!
