Live fire on Mott Street, from the Noortwyck team
Everything of consequence at Oriana goes over the wood-fired grill. Seafood, vegetables, all of it gets smoke, but the grill really earns its keep on the large-format meats built for sharing.
The Noortwyck team designed the whole room around that fire. Nolita has plenty of restaurants. It has far fewer that cook like this.

I will start by saying the obvious: this is pricey and certainly will be a splurge/special occasion meal for most. With that known, I can't think of a new restaurant in NYC that has the delivered such a show stopping meal in even distant memory. Every dish was packed with smokey, unctuous flavor that I couldn't get enough of. We decided to spring for the large format duck which was quite an undertaking but certainly the highlight of the meal and worth it if you're a fan of the bird. But all of the other mains sounded wonderful, and the starters and sides were equally compelling. Add a fun cocktail program, stunning space, and attentive but relaxed service, and you have a truly remarkable night out. I will be looking for another occasion to celebrate here!!

Undoubtedly one of the best new restaurants in the neighborhood. Go once for the steak and cocktails. Come back for the duck and Sauternes. It's so rare to have somewhere so creative but so simple. You're not going to get caviar and foam, but instead you're going to get something better, creative homemade sauces paired with perfectly cooked meats. An instant classic.

Overall a very good dinner here! The pork chop left some to be desired, as it was very charred and mainly fat but still very flavorful. This might be the best bread service in the city already as well!

We had a wonderful evening. We had heard good reports of Oriana so we were curious to find out if they were true. Our expectations were more than fulfilled. Every dish we had was delicious - particularly the white asparagus with truffles, the Dover sole, the scallops and the tuna. The deserts, cucumber sorbet and sticky toffee pudding were sensational. Service was attentive, highly professional and welcoming. We loved the design and layout of the restaurant and bar. We can’t wait to come back on our next visit to New York.

Dare I say the best opening in 2026?! Everything we had was phenomenal. Starting with the sweet pea martini -- so good. Maybe the best bread service I've had in New York. Excellent oysters, flavorful and delicious maitake mushroom skewer. Hangar steak was a large portion and cooked perfectly -- the dry aging made it a bittttt gamey tasting to us, but was still good. Staff amazing, drinks & food amazing, space amazing. Rarely -- especially in 2026 -- do I leave a Manhattan restaurant thinking that I received good value. Oriana delivers value, an amazing meal and a beautiful setting while not being stuffy or arrogant. 5 stars, so so good. Grab a res before it becomes overly difficult.
