A Korean ceramics shop hidden up a SoHo staircase, guarded by a golden doodle

No sign points up from the sidewalk at 54 Mercer Street. You just have to know BOMI is there, on the second floor, and climb.

Inside, the shelves hold minimalist Korean ceramics, dinnerware and kitchen objects, plus a rotating selection of Korean herbal teas. The owners' golden doodle usually greets you at the top of the stairs, and by now it's as much a reason to visit as the tableware.

It's on the second floor with no street-level storefront, so look for the door at 54 Mercer and head upstairs.

this shop has such a stellar selection of brands and beautiful objects. my go-to spot for house warming gifts and i LOVE the jewelry selection. gorgeous gift wrapping and the employees are always so sweet and helpful !!

BOMI is a small boutique focused on home goods ware and many more. The collection is very good, with a lot of them meshing well together and more minimalistic styles. The prices can be a bit expensive, but we did end up finding unique pieces that we wanted to get for our home. The staff were friendly, though I think we came in during their lunch as they were eating when we came in.

I absolutely love this boutique! It’s a gem in SoHo. The selection of home goods is unique and beautifully curated, with something for every style. Plus, you might be greeted by Ilo, the shop's adorable Golden Doodle, on some visits. This is my go-to place for gifts, whether for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, or any other special occasion. Highly recommend stopping by for a delightful shopping experience!
