Asheville's cult pottery brand finally lands in Brooklyn

East Fork started as a wood-fired pottery in the North Carolina mountains and built a stoneware mug and plate line with a genuine online cult following. The seasonal glaze colors sell out within hours on the website. Now they're stackable in person.

The Atlantic Avenue shop is the brand's first permanent New York address, dropped into a stretch of home stores Curbed once joked couldn't fit another one. By the founders' own account, getting the pots from Asheville to Brooklyn intact was the hardest part of the build out.

Closed Mondays; Atlantic Avenue around it has become a strip of home and design shops worth walking end to end.

I love East Fork everything and this location is no different. This is one of the best stores I have ever been to and I mean in every category. The store is super clean, well-stocked and organized. But it’s the store manager’s, Joey’s, exceptional customer service, kindness, keen eye and eagerness to make the customer truly happy that differentiates this store from all others. Everyone must visit this store!! Believe me, you won’t be disappointed. I had the most wonderful and positive experience, which is such a breath of fresh air. I have been an East Fork fan for years and am thrilled they have a storefront in Brooklyn now. Run don’t walk and grab all the Everyday Bowls and Mugs. They will become your go to, everyday, for a reason. Top quality, beautiful products that add personality and delight to your kitchen wares and rituals.

Best pottery (plus) store I think I’ve ever been to with an amazing selection of items, picked up a couple of beautiful blue bowls and some gourmet popcorn. Very nice service. Really worth a visit.
