Corio

★ 4.4 · 61 reviews Philadelphia Opened June 2025

New York-style pies and crab bucatini on Market Street.

Corio opened in University City in June 2025 doing pizza and pasta at both lunch and dinner. The pies are New York style, and the kitchen also sends out squash risotto and crab bucatini for anyone treating it as a proper sit-down.

There's a full bar, but wine and cocktails only appear in the evening. Lunch is pizza, wings and a soft drink. The Infatuation put it on the Hit List.

Everything about the food from start to finish was great! We came here at 5pm on a Saturday, just before the dinner rush began. We ordered the wings, margherita pizza, chicken parmesan, and two of their desserts—the frozen chocolate pudding and the fried leftover pizza dough with sugar and orange zested butter. The wings had a nice kick to them, and the sauce was perfect, along with how crispy and smoky they were. I wish I had taken photos because everything looked amazing and arrived piping hot! My only critique is that the chicken parmesan could have used a little more salt, and the side salad was a bit too bitter for my liking. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised by the price since the quality here is top tier. This isn't a restaurant that just serves you a bunch of frozen food; you can really tell everything is made fresh. I told our waiter the food tasted "authentic," but what I really meant was that you can tell it's made with real passion and care. My boyfriend ordered two beers, and I got the basil lemonade, which was divine, wonderfully sour and packed a punch with each sip! Our server (I didn't catch his name) was also incredibly attentive and friendly. My boyfriend works nearby and comes here often, so he's been wanting to show me this place for a while. I’m so happy we finally came after a long day of walking!

The wings are really good, but we had a problem with the rib sandwich. After pickup, we were sad to see they had completely forgotten to include the two sauces that are supposed to be on the sandwich per the menu. It was just meat, greens, and bun.

I have eaten here maybe 5 times over the last as many months. The whole vibe of this place is chill & refreshing. The food is excellent (today was a charred romaine caeser, bucatini with clams & a merguez pizza for two). The staff is attentive yet not intrusive. The design of the space - the lighting, the bar, etc - is perfect.

We enjoyed a fabulous family meal in the private dining lounge. Delicious, affordable and comfortable.

Nice little modern Italian restaurant in the wasteland of Market Street. The pastas are a bit heavy, but they're quite good. Pizzas have high-quality ingredients. There are less carby options on the menu. Have to take off one star for this: my guest had ordered an iced tea, and as we were finishing the meal, the waitress asked him whether he would like another. He said yes, and then I didn't notice until I got home that she ended up charging for two iced teas. Shenanigans like that cost a star in my Google review.
