Records Forever

Fairmount's own record store, no trip to South Street needed
New and used vinyl share the bins with a steady stream of used CDs, and the buying counter keeps the stock turning. Weekend drops of fresh used stock draw a line of regulars.
Records Forever opened at 2036 Fairmount Avenue in November 2024, giving the neighborhood its own record store instead of a trek to South Street. Metro Philly named it the city's best record store of 2025 within a year. WPRB 103.3 DJs have taken over the shop for free live-spinning evenings too.
Good to know
- Saturday 11am used-CD and record drops are the moment to show up.
- Pair it with the big Fairmount flea market when it's on, same neighborhood, same Saturday.

Well curated store with great mix of genres from jazz, rock, hip hop, soul and more. I always make great finds in the $3 bargain bin as well

One of the best new record stores in Philly. The owner Gabe is great and super knowledgeable as well as helpful. Highly recommend it to both seasoned collectors and newbie’s to the vinyl scene.

Gabe is the best & was so patient and helpful getting my 1975 Panasonic retuned and new needle rewired. Loved the space and location, picked up 4+ records & there’s a listening booth so you can check out the songs if they’re not in plastic. I will be back!!

Just visited today, honestly really reasonably priced stuff in a beautiful space! Smaller but still tons of gems. There’s a little listening station which i thought was such a great idea! And the owner was very nice and welcoming. So happy to have a quality record store in the area!
