Prince Coffee

Portland's reliable third Prince Coffee

The flat white is what regulars order first, and once you try it you'll get why. This Killingsworth spot in Humboldt is the third Portland shop for a small local chain built on a tight espresso program.

Don't expect novelty. The counter is compact, the drink menu short, and every location runs the same playbook. It's the shop you default to, not the one you go looking for.

This coffee shop is only five minutes from my place, and I think they’re the only ones nearby who consistently pull great espresso shots. I know this place isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. But at least give it a try before judging it. Don’t hate it just because it’s busy and attracts a lot of customers.

I had such a lovely experience at Prince. I came in not knowing what I wanted at all and Bri, the amazing and very friendly barista, gave me perfect suggestions. Their specialty bean selection is varied and a fun mix of local roasters and foreign! Highly recommend the carrot ginger tea and anything else Bri says, haha. Excellent vibes and the AC was a welcome touch. 10/10!

Lovely adorable addition to our neighborhood! Cute curated retail space with all the chai, matcha and coffee essentials (with a few natural wines scattered along the shelves. A great menu with items that satisfy your sweet and or savory needs! Most importantly, phenomenal drinks. We ordered a pistachio latte and their house drip which was delicious and I could have gone for seconds and thirds. We also chose two breakfast sandwiches with hot sauce that we scarfed down before I could get a photo. The space is warm and welcoming with plenty of seating on the back patio! Family friendly overall. Welcome to the community!

Great atmosphere, even better drinks. I’ve had three of the specialties lattes at this point and loved every one. New neighborhood favorite.

Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The space is beautifully designed — spacious, minimal, and thoughtfully put together with just enough elevated touches to make it feel special without being overdone. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick coffee or planning to settle in for a few hours of work, it strikes a nice balance between functional and inviting. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit, and the Wi-Fi was reliable for getting work done. There are plenty of small tables for laptops, a good amount of seating throughout the café, and an overall layout that makes it easy to spend time here without feeling cramped. One of the standout features is the back patio. It’s a fantastic outdoor space that feels somewhat tucked away from the street and should be an amazing place to spend time during the summer months. Beyond the coffee shop itself, there’s also a curated selection of wine, tea, and other goods available for purchase, which adds a nice neighborhood-market feel to the space. Overall, a really pleasant place to spend time and an excellent new addition to Killingsworth. Bonus: Great option if you’re looking for a comfortable place to work remotely for a few hours, meet a friend, or simply enjoy a coffee on a sunny day.
