Refined seafood and vegetables in NW Portland
Skip the neighborhood-bistro format everyone else nearby runs. Lansdowne plays a different game, seafood and vegetable dishes built for a wine-focused room that wants you to stay a while.
It reopened on NW Marshall Street with its grand opening on March 19, 2026, after a previous run as Lansdowne Social elsewhere in the city. Book ahead for weekends, this is a room made for several courses, not a quick bite.

Fantastic dinner experience. The menu is small but on point. Everything we had was on point doing to the placement of the flower petals. From the oysters to the focaccia bread with honey butter, to the green salad, the cavatelli, the fagiolini, and the desserts. The bartender whipped up delicious cocktails - the Pink Lady was my favorite. Our waitress Mattina was attentive, friendly and fun. We will be back for sure…

My wife and I visited the restaurant after watching a short YouTube interview with the owner this spring and after reading the positive reviews below. We're so glad we did. We ordered the focaccia, albacore, and scallops. All three were amazing, and the scallops now make our Top 5 Portland dishes. We even ordered another focaccia to take home.

Yay a new tasting menu that's well worth the price! 6 courses listed but 3 surprises (amuse, focaccia, palate cleanser). One 12/10, the albacore crudo with olive was absolutely wonderful, amazing flavor & texture. One we didn't love.. black cod with a dill? sauce. Just OK. Everything else very good or great, highlights being the pescetarian-special risotto with peas and crab, the raviolo w/ sheep cheese, & the strawberry/basil dessert. With inkind it was ~$100 a person for 9 courses and a drink after tip (the n/a drinks were special and worth it). $11 per course, excellent value, will definitely be back to try new menus. And of course it was enough food, tasting menus always are, ended up quite full.

Had the prix fixe menu and wine pairing and each course was delicious. They were very knowledgeable about gluten restrictions and were able to change out the pasta course with a very tasty risotto to make it gluten free.

Had a fantastic experience at Lansdowne. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The food was equally impressive. The chips are cut in-house and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them incredible flavor and texture. You can really taste the difference. Everything we ordered was delicious, and it’s clear they take pride in the quality of their ingredients and preparation. Great food, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. Looking forward to coming back soon!
