Argentine pastries and a bookshop on 31st Street

Flor. opened on 31st Street in September 2025 as half cafe, half bookshop, pouring Grace Street coffee.

The pastry case runs Argentine and French, with empanadas alongside. Dolcezza soft serve is the reason people come back in the afternoon rather than the morning.

I have been on a mission to find the perfect Matcha in Georgetown, trying a brand-new café every single day and the search is officially over. This place easily tops them all! Their matcha is absolutely flawless, but the perks don't stop there. Beyond serving the best matcha in town, they also make some seriously delicious empanadas that are perfect for a morning bite. It has quickly become my favorite way to start the day. I love coming here during the week, but it’s also a fantastic weekend spot for families. Upstairs, there is a lovely bookshop, complete with a dedicated kids' corner that keeps my little ones happily entertained while I enjoy my drink. Whether you are a matcha purist, a book lover, or a parent looking for a welcoming, kid-friendly neighborhood spot, this café is an absolute must-visit.

The iced berry matcha was a nice drink with a good ratio of the strawberry foam with matcha I did find it a bit too icy but I guess I can probably just request less ice next time Would definitely visit and hopefully be able to try their ube matcha latte

Excellent place. The coffee was the best so far for me in Washington. The granola was excellent (better if it was in a bowl rather than plastic). The mini Havana Alfajor was surprisingly found in Washington- perfect treat… The service was in English and Argentinian which felt “at home”… The combination of book store with a place to dine, is very promising, a special atmosphere.

I visited Flor last week and it is such a beautiful café with a very elegant and cozy design. The interior decoration is stunning, especially the indoor area that feels like a quiet little library — perfect for relaxing, reading, or enjoying coffee peacefully. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area, which is amazing when the weather is not too hot or too cold. The outdoor atmosphere is especially beautiful; it feels as if you’ve traveled back in time to past centuries. The whole place has a calm, stylish, and welcoming vibe. Definitely one of the nicest cafés to spend time in.

This beautiful Buenos Aires-inspired cafe and bookstore is the perfect spot to grab a bite, check out a new book, and relax with friends. Their warm and community driven space focuses on delicious Argentinian flavors and nourishing seasonal dishes with a Latin flair. I especially love their nourishing seasonal dishes, like the beef ragu bowl. They have outdoor and indoor seating, complete with a bookstore upstairs with books and gifts in Spanish & English. I loved all the intentional details of the space!
