Southern Italian on the water, open from breakfast
Capitano opened at The Wharf in March 2026, Southern Italian and open from breakfast onward, which most of the waterfront is not.
Braised beef ragù and lump crab scampi at dinner. Earlier in the day it is Tuscan shrimp and grits and whipped ricotta toast, eaten a hundred metres from the water.

My husband and I recently visited for a night away. The pizza here was AMAZING! Friendly staff, great service. I am not sure what pizza we got as my husband ordered it but he said it was something they just recently added to the menu. I have been craving this pizza ever since, I dont think anything can compare!

We had such a wonderful experience at Capitano and Whiskey Charlie’s. A huge thank you to John, Sara, and Jessica for making the evening so memorable. Their kindness, genuine hospitality, and attention to every detail made us feel truly welcome from beginning to end. The food was delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was amazing, but what really stood out were the people. It’s clear they genuinely care about creating a great experience for every guest, and it made all the difference. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such an unforgettable evening—5 stars all the way!

The food was so good my boyfriend and I ate here twice during our 4 day stay. The service was better the second day and so was the food! Will definitely be returning

Got it, here’s the corrected version with the proper name and a smoother flow: ⸻ I went to Capitano today more for the vibes than anything else since I didn’t have the biggest appetite, and it definitely delivered on ambience. The rooftop aesthetic is super cute and makes it a great spot to just hang out and grab drinks. Parking at The Wharf can be a bit of a hit or miss. Today the entire garage was closed because of an event, so I had to park further out in a residential area. A lot of the surrounding blocks are residential parking only, which can be tricky. I did end up getting a ticket for parking in a residential zone. Interestingly, in some cases that ticket can end up being cheaper than garage parking anyway, but still something to be mindful of. I only had a couple of drinks and they were really good. I like a well crafted cocktail, and theirs definitely hit the mark. I also tried the rustic bread, but it tasted a bit stale so I sent it back. The pizza, however, was great. I’ve been here before after a 5K a few weeks ago with friends, and that experience was a lot more food focused. We had shots, the Parmesan fries were a standout, and they also enjoyed a vodka penne pasta. Overall, Capitano is a cute spot at The Wharf, especially if you’re going for drinks, rooftop vibes, and a relaxed hangout rather than a full dining experience.

The Abruzzo drink was so good, the bruschetta too, the pizza dough was good but I didn’t like the toppings so much.
